Remove the fluff!

Friday Nov 01, 2024

Friday Nov 01, 2024

How can we measure inclusion and what is the benefit when doing that? That is a question that we get from many leaders that we meet and in this episode we meet the founders of Jolint, Klaudia Mur and Faheem Shah, a tool and platform that do measure the inclusion in an organization. We talk about how they ended up in Gothenburg, Sweden and how their different backgrounds met in a common passion - to make organizations more inclusive.
An inspiring and fun conversation where we all agree on one thing; let's remove the fluff!!
Liz is sharing some interesting perspectives on AI and Katarina has worked with a client on Suppression techniques. We're happy if you want to tune in and listen!

Make it human!

Friday Aug 30, 2024

Friday Aug 30, 2024

We're back from a nice summer break and are thrilled to meet and speak with Sarah McLellan, who is the author of the book "Make it human", on how can we create cultures and workplaces where people and business thrive. Often we tend to think that it has to be one or the other, but Sarah is passionate and explains that we can have both! The trick is to explain the how.
What are "cultural cracks" in companies and how do they affect the culture and work climate? And where could organizations who want to enable a human centric organization and leadership start?
Liz has some new interesting reading to share and Katarina has experienced interesting discussions during her time as a teacher in Equality in worklife at higher vocational education school.

Empathy is not a weakness!

Friday May 31, 2024

Friday May 31, 2024

We're thrilled to meet Loren Sanders, the author of "Empathy is not a weakness" where she talks about how she discovered the importance of empathy in leadership. Having been a goal focused, non people centric person, she suddenly realized she didn't achieve the results she wanted and thanks to an empathetic leader enabled her to develop and understand how important empathy is for business. Empathy is one of the best leadership skills and emotional intelligence traits, and great leaders are willing to share their emotions and feelings with others, and allow them to share theirs.
Loren comes from one of the leading Fortune 500 companies and is living proof that human centric leadership gets results! As always, we could have talked forever on this important topic!

In our increasingly fast paced world with endless change, in order to survive and thrive we need to open up to new and different perspectives.
Less than 16% of autistic adults are employed full-time, which is only a slight improvement since 2007. Today we talk to Unicus, who only hire people who have Asperger's. This IT consultancy firm is not only providing first class consultants, but are also enabling organizations to break down barriers. We are very excited to talk to Elin Blom from Unicus!

We're really excited having a stimulating conversation with Tomas Chamorro Premuzic who is the Chief Innovation Officer at Manpower, author of 10 books and a regular contributor to HBR, Forbes and many more leading publications, including some very successful Ted Talks.

We could have talked for hours but restrained ourselves. There was so many good points raised during our chat:
AI is a bit like a dishwasher - frees up time for other things
Humans with AI are better than each on their own
Are we expecting too much from work - Come and work with me and you will be slightly less miserable than your current job?

Have a good Easter, if you are celebrating.

How it started...

One day in April 2020, Liz called Katarina and said she had an idea, which then developed into the live streamed teams show called "WE Connect". An interactive, curious and personal talk show, with guests who shared their experiences and views on how to handle uncertainty, motivation, leadership and much more.

Now, they're both running their own businesses and want to continue the dialogue, always curious to learn more on how to inspire organizations and people to thrive. WE hope you would like to join us!
